“Friday Night Jazz & Blues” is a renewed program that began as “Uptown Friday
Night” and was revitalized in 2021 under a new moniker. This year-round series of jazz
and blues concerts features area bands and is held at Boone’s, located at 301 West
Edwards Street, Springfield, IL, every Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. “Friday
Night Jazz & Blues” is free, accessible, and family friendly. Food and beverage are
available for purchase.
In conjunction with “Friday Night Jazz & Blues,” the Springfield Area Arts Council
hosts a 50/50 raffle for audience members to participate in. Raffle proceeds help fund
this program. This is a cash-only raffle. Winners receive half of the money collected, are
called during intermission, and must be in attendance to win.
