Apply to Become a Board Director
The Springfield Area Arts Council Board of Directors is a group of passionate members who are actively engaged in carrying out SAAC’s mission to enrich the community through the arts.
Directors serve two year terms and are expected to attend monthly Board meetings, participate in fundraising activities, and are encouraged to attend as many SAAC events as possible. Membership is not required to apply; but one must be a member to serve on the Board or a committee.

Apply to Be a Grant Panelist
Grant panelists play a critical role in the grantmaking process. We seek a diverse community of panelists from Sangamon and Menard counties with a wide-range of experience in the artistic, cultural, and social fields. If selected as a panelists, you will work independently and with other panelists to evaluate grant applications to ensure an equitable, honest, and thorough review and ranking process.
