BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Our volunteers are integral to the work we do here at SAAC. We offer many opportunities to get involved and apply your unique skills to our organization and events. If you would like to volunteer your time, please fill in the form below and let us know how you’d like to contribute. Whether it’s event planning, assisting at programs, or lending a hand with administrative tasks, we’d love to hear about your interests and strengths!


    JOIN THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

    The Springfield Area Arts Council Board of Directors is a group of passionate members who are actively engaged in carrying out SAAC’s mission to enrich the community through the arts.

    Directors serve two year terms and are expected to attend monthly Board meetings, participate in fundraising activities, and are encouraged to attend as many SAAC events as possible. Membership is not required to apply; but one must be a member to serve on the Board or a committee.

      BECOME A GRANT PANELIST

      Grant panelists play a critical role in the grant-making process. We seek a diverse community of panelists from Sangamon and Menard counties with a wide-range of experience in the artistic, cultural, and social fields. If selected as a panelists, you will work independently and with other panelists to evaluate grant applications to ensure an equitable, honest, and thorough review and ranking process.
