• Deliver arts experiences to more than 5,000 elementary students across Sangamon and Menard counties through the Penny Wollan-Kriel Arts in Education program.

• Bring unforgettable events to our region—from First Night Springfield, Illinois’ longest-running New Year’s Eve celebration, to Artist in the Park, our summer lunchtime concert series.

• Provide grants to local arts organizations, helping them create new programs and sustain their operations.

• Celebrate creativity through The Mayor’s Arts Awards, honoring the artists, educators, and advocates who shape Springfield’s cultural landscape.

• Inspire the next generation with programs like Poetry Out Loud, where high school students compete at regional and state levels.
